Wine hotel concept

Wine hotel

Although we work a lot with wine, Hotel Pinot is also an excellent choice for accommodation. In any case, we´re offering quality and comfort. However, the concept of our hotel is based on partnerships with some of the best and most interesting wineries of the Czech Republic. Each partner winery has patronage over one hotel room. If you’re interested in wine, you can get to know the particular winery’s wines over the room wine fridge and read all the information in materials, which you will find in your room. You can always order a good bottle of wine at the reception, in our wine bar, or in our wine cellar. You can of course buy wine for home or have us arrange the shipping to your country.

If you want more than that, we have prepared several wine programs for you. Apart from our wine bar or wine cellar we offer wine tasting and wine courses but also wine trips and travels to wineries and vineyards. Plus, if you’re interested in fine dining and fine wine in Prague and in the Czech Republic, we can help you find the right place.

Terroir, wine of origin

Wine is a cultural phenomenon connected with getting to know particular regions and their specific diversities, which are conveyed into wine. Our main aim is to select and support the best wine production of our regions. Of course, an interest in wine is linked with travelling to places where the wine comes from. Although you are probably not coming to Prague because of wine, we have a lot to offer on this subject matter. And in case you’re a wine lover, there are plenty of ways how you can spend your time. And we are going to do our best to make sure you will enjoy every minute of your stay.

Pinot

The name Pinot was chosen on purpose. Pinot is a grape variety native in Burgundy. It is a serious grape; perhaps the best know of all and often considered the king of all grapes. It mainly evokes elegance, nobleness, potential, power, history, acknowledgement and reputation. The name Pinot is common to all languages and it needs no translation. Apart from that, Pinot has an important historical parallel in the Czech Republic, because in 14^^th^^ century our king Charles IV. brought this variety from Burgundy and ordered it to be planted in this region. Since that time, Pinot is native to the regions of Mělník, Kutná hora and Roudnice, where local vintners make very special and very interesting wines out of this grape. However, Pinot is also planted in the vineyards of Prague and we will be glad to take you there during one of our wine trips.
