The quality and orientation of this huge winery is set by an important man on the Czech wine scene. Miloš Michlovský is not only a famous vintner but he’s also well known for his breeding activity. His breeding station is in Perná in the Mikulov region and it was here where some of the most popular modern Czech grape varieties (Pálava and Aurelius) were created. The station is nowadays focused on breeding new varieties which are highly resistant to diseases, fungi and insects, as well as to frost or drought. The product range of this winery is very broad, as well as are used technologies. Vinselekt produces wines in several ranges – some are made to express the terroir, some are made to express certain technology of winemaking. Worth mentioning are the Premier wines, offering wines of international quality made of the best of Miloš Michlovský has in his cellar. These are rich and ample wines, carefully matured with long ageing potential.
